
FRANKLIN, Tenn. – The Franklin Police Department was asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a man suspected of firing a gun at another individual Friday night. Now, authorities confirm that the suspect has been captured.
Officers were dispatched around 9 p.m. to Vape World, located on W. Main Street, after receiving a report of shots fired. According to investigators, an altercation between two men took place in the parking lot. During the dispute, one of the men allegedly pulled a firearm and fired at the other. Fortunately, the intended target was not injured. However, the suspect fled the scene before police arrived. One day after releasing photos of the subject, described as a white male wearing a Hunter X Hunter anime shirt, he was caught.
On Saturday afternoon, officers arrested Charles Crain, 32, of Franklin. He has been charged with attempted criminal homicide and aggravated assault, stemming from Friday’s shooting in the parking lot of a Williamson County vape shop. Crain’s bond is $825,000.
