He said: “We are currently already in the process of completely rebranding the business. We will rename the place and completely transition to the mobile and electronics repair side of things.”

Mohammad says the decision to step away from vape sales was made early on.

“When we took over, we consciously made the decision to not get any new stock of vapes and just sell the ones that we already had left from the previous owners,” he said.

“And after the rebrand, we will no longer sell vapes here. Because we understand the harmful effects of vaping and its environmental impact.”

The ban on disposable vapes, which got implemented from June 1, comes amid growing concerns about youth vaping and the ecological damage caused by the single-use devices.

Mohammad believes the move is the right one, both for public health and the planet.

“The ban is very welcome and we hope that it serves the purpose for which it is being put into place,” he added.

“I know it can impact businesses that solely sell vapes, but I think long term, everyone will be able to adjust and adapt.”
